Dammit! i missed the deadline to apply. maybe next year. anyone with me on this one? at a minimum, please remind me?
I’m thinking i can qualify as a sexual “scholar” as a minimum. Or at least an eager “practitioner”?
I’m also wondering how one can get qualified as one of those “sexual experts” who serve on the selection committee… I need another career…

Fellowship candidates will be chosen by a selection committee of sexual health and community leadership experts based on the strength of the essays submitted as well as having demonstrated commitment to community leadership in sexual health.

This gives new perspective to having “hands on” experience. Har har.
At the least I’d have expected a practical demonstration of skills. Fun times.
And pray tell, what is an underserved community? People who have sex less than three times a week?

Although I know you to be a great researcher of all things sexual, somehow I don’t think they are aiming at your ilk. But good luck with that application.
Sassy Miss P.- Although I agree with your definition of an underserved community, (and am unfortunately in one by that definition) I think they probably mean folks like the poor twit Daisy had on the plane, who probably thinks the stork brings babies because his mother told him so.

Huh. Is that supposed to be reproductive health? Or is it really sexual health in terms of how often and how successfully one has intercourse (with another and not alone? And by another, I mean another human…)?
Either way, I don’t think I’d apply. Not my bowl of rice.

Miss P – all legitimate questions. and, as i said, a missed chance to go to The Center and answer them. damn. will have to continue pursuing personal research opportunities. and the bumper sticker? i like the way you think…
silverstar – unfortunately, of late, it has all been observational research as opposed to interactive. so, i think i should abandon the formal application and look for those interactive possibilities.
rob – i have no clue. i got stuck on the word ‘sexual’ and figured it was for me. the rest is just details. but you wouldn’t apply? and you call yourself an engineer? actually, i have no idea what the last question really means, so….

Rob: do folks in your part of the world regularly engage in sex with something other than another human? Hmm. Methinks I should given you the bumper sticker 😈

Surely I should be teaching a class or two for that course! wonder why they haven’t asked me?

ooohh oohhh my husband is a dr. he qualifies. Do I qualify as a scholar then since I’m married to him. will save this for next year. I knew there was something to do out there that would aleviate my boredom of being a stay at home wife. Thank you
ps do hookers qualify–they do seem to fit the one expectation “as well as having demonstrated commitment to community leadership in sexual health.” this would be an excellent opportunity for them.
perhaps it is your responsibility to take this to the community. “no no officer–I’m just handing out literature. Really, it’s for the better of the community”
